Family trips are truly the best.
You get to travel. experience new things and be with your littles. Minneapolis is one of the places that we love to go every year (and sometimes multiple times a year) 🙂
We love to take road trips to Minneapolis, ” The Twin Cities,” or as Miss Cruz likes to call it, Nickelodeon Universe. Nickelodeon Universe is the indoor theme park inside the Mall of America.
It takes an around five hours to make the trip. We usually stop once for lunch and more than enough times at rest stops for snacks! I get asked a lot where we stay when we go. We ALWAYS stay at the Radisson Blue. It’s modern, kid-friendly and it is connected to MOA.
Our mornings usually start with breakfast at Fire and Ice, a hip restaurant inside the hotel. Plus, the littles love their Lego play sets they have to enjoy while we’re waiting on the food. After we eat, we usually venture off to Nickelodeon Universe for some epic rides!
Shopping is always a heck of a good time…
My little Otto is such a great shopper! He absolutely loooooves his stroller and is a people watcher! You can give this little man a snack and he will curiously look all around at every single shopper.
I end up spending A LOT of time in TOPSHOP at Norstrom’s. I can’t get enough of their pieces in my life! They have really unique statement pieces and their closet staple items are great quality for a budget-friendly price! I will be sharing tons of my items from these stores here on the blog.
This is the convenient part … you can get ALL these items online and delivered right to your doorstep. You don’t even have to travel to MOA to get them! Seriously? How awesome is that? Unless, of course you are looking to make a really fun, easy, fast trip!
We don’t always hit up the water park next to MOA but this time we gave it a GO! Even though it was around 4 degrees outside, we decided to strut our little family over to the lazy river and tube slides. OH MY FRIES! This was FUUUUUUUUUN! My hubby love and I went on this crazy fast double tube slide! We laughed and screamed all the way down like 12-year-olds. And, it was AWESOME! Not to mention the fact that I flipped him off our tube at the end!! Tanisha: 1, Will: 0.
The choices are endless, really. My absolutely favorite place to grab a bite would be Burger, Burger! YUUUUUUUM! The fries are salty, crispy goodness. The burgers come in so many varieties you will have a hard time choosing because they are all — WOW!!! You will finish it all, and walk out thinking about when you can come back. It’s really that amazing!
Leaving the MOA is always bittersweet. Just like every time we travel. The stay is always lovely but getting home sweet home is wonderful too! You should really consider taking a trip soon!
